It is shame, but some people believe that it is fine to paint a suspended ceiling with emulsion or eggshell paints. This is a big mistake. Emulsion will glue your tiles to the grid, making removal impossible. It is not stain blocking and, within a few weeks, stains will leech through. Emulsion will also destroy your ceiling's fire rating and its acoustic properties.
